Elysium Designed is very proud to be a sponsor of the Mount Gravatt Vultures AFC.
Paul’s return to the QAFL for the 2017 Season in the role of Assistant Senior Coach focusing on the mid field is a very rewarding one due to his longstanding association with the club.
Paul (also known as Jimmy and Marv) started playing AFL in the Under 7’s at Mt Gravatt way back in 1977 and Paul has gone on to play more than 300 games in his AFL career spanning over 3 decades.
Paul has been a Senior Premiership player on 4 separate occasions – 1994 as the Premiership Captain for the Wondsworth Demons in London, 1999 and 2000 for Palm Beach Currumbin and 2002 for Mt Gravatt.
Paul was recruited as a rookie at the age of 17 by the Brisbane Bears Football Club in 1987 and while being awarded the number 53 Paul was never fortunate to lass up his boots and play a senior game for the club.
Paul ‘s love of building during the day coupled with his enjoyment of coaching footy has seen him come full circle and return to the Mt Gravatt Vultures where his roots were firmly cemented way back in 1977.
